FIRST OFF AS A MARK OF RESPECT THERE WAS A MINUTES SILENCE FOR TOM MOTTRAM AND JOYCE HICKMAN WHO RECENTLY PASSED AWAY.
The Minutes from Februarys meeting were passed as a true record Proposed - J.M , Seconded A.D
1, CHAIRMANS REPORT -
(I) Spoke to Mr Hepworth regarding joint presentation night, Mr Hepworth has not yet given D.S a date,even after speaking 3 times and no answer!
At this point K.D Proposed we book presentation night for SATURDAY 10TH MAY 08 this was seconded by D.H and D.S will forward this to WTFC.
(ii) Regarding the organisation of a race night Welbeck are not interested now and with no explanation why?
2, SECRETARY’S REPORT -
(I) Bank statements passed on to S.T
(ii) Presentation Night - 3 of our Supporters need to be nominated for fans awards
(iii) Welcome back to T.Reynolds on the WTSC Committee
3, TREASURERS REPORT -
Although not in attendance ST has informed the committee that theres over £1000 banked, there was roughly just under £300 collected for the Buxton player who broke his leg here a few weeks ago
IF ANYBODY WANTS TO SEE THE WTSC BOOKS THEY ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO!
4, AWAY TRAVEL -
WTSC Committee is happy with TM Travel and the service we have received!
5, PREDICTION POT -
Sales are improving now word is spreading of the venture.
6, ANY OTHER BUSINESS ( A.O.B )
(A) T.Reynolds wants to bring raffles back to help running of the away travel at this point D.S says that it was voted at the last meeting that there would be no raffles, the committee has asked T.R to make a list of prizes he has, then ask our members if they want the raffle back and then discuss at the next meeting. K.D opposes the idea due to the fact we already have golden goals, spot the balls etc and doesn’t think its fair fans should spend more money , After long discussion it has been voted to take the idea of bringing back the raffle to the members.
(B) D.HANCOCK - asked for Stationary for Committee business ie ink and paper - PASSED
( C) A.DEXTER - Approached by work colleague at Nottinghamshire County Council to see if WTFC would donate a signed football shirt in aid of Notts Air Ambulance who was recently dispatched to a road worker who was tragically killed on site in October, NCC has organised a 5 a side tournament and hope WTFC could donate a shirt to Auction / Raffle off for the cause via WTSC.
(D) K.DEXTER - Fix a date for our AGM it will be held on SUNDAY 1ST JUNE 08 at Sandy Lane upstairs, memberships must be show to gain entry no entries after meeting starts!
(E)K.DEXTER - Getting no further with our advertising/sponsor boards our boards have been moved away and one taken down, then Mrs Hepworth approached us for money, WTSC wants to know why!
(F) J.MARSDEN - wants to organise a Quiz/Bingo night with a possible trial on the first Friday in april, it is to be left with JM to organise for now with prizes possibly being meat Prop - D.S Sec K.D
(G) There is a memorial service for Tom Mottram at 4pm at st johns hall - NO MOURNING GEAR.
(H) J.MARSDEN - wants WTSC to get a plaque for T.Mottrams seat in the ground and the T.M trophy to be renamed the Tom Mottram memorial trophy. Prop D.S / Sec D.H
(I) D.BROMLEY - Revealed he is packing in his Kit Manager duties with S.Hardy taking over.
(J) D.SAVAGE - as WTSC.FC Manger, D.S asks that there be more coverage of the Sunday side in the program, D.H explained we only have one page in the program and cant always get to Sunday games to do reports for the guardian due to work!
(K)D.SAVAGE - explained WTSC.FC have a bit of money but could do with a donation from WTSC of £30/£40 to buy some matchballs, T.Reynolds suggested that the Sunday side run a raffle after a game that would generate funds to buy balls for themselves
